      • Program Elements

        Campus Tree Plantings

We partner with schools to design collaborative tree planting projects with students, staff, and their facilities teams. We aim to create shade on campuses and expose youths to the many learning and developmental benefits trees are known for.

        Environmental Education

Education is at the heart of this program. We enagage with K-12 classes leading up to planting projects through tree nursery field trips, the day of planting by inviting their friends and families to plant trees with us, and up to three years post-planting to visit and engage with the trees on their campus.

        Workforce Development

We provide hands-on training and education for both students and paid interns from our community to expand the green industry workforce. Our team prioritizes engaging part-time, paid positions to assist will all aspects of the work we do.

        Interpretive Signage

When we plant on school campuses, we hope to engage as many students and member of the communities with those trees as we can. This looks like installing educational, interpretive signage at the planting sites to promote species ID and knowledge about the importance of trees in our communities.
